About Together at the Table
Together at the Table is a part of Grow Together Supports, a highly motivated NDIS provider offering supported independent living, supported employment and innovative group and social activities in Melbourne's Outer East. We have been working together as a team for almost 20 years as parents and carers of people living with disability.
At Together at the Table, we believe everyone should have access to nutritious, balanced home cooked meals – including the support to make it yourself if this is what you choose. We pride ourselves on providing the best possible meal service to people in Melbourne’s’ Outer East.
The NDIS provides unprecedented opportunities. We are grateful to be both beneficiaries, and now providers of, these supports that you deserve.
About Grow Together Supports - growing strength from adversity
Cast your mind back 20 years, to a time when we didn’t have the unprecedented opportunities of the NDIS. This is when we first started working together to support two remarkable young people living with disability. As we faced challenge after challenge our team grew stronger and stronger.
In 2022 one of our team was diagnosed with a life threatening illness and had to face questions like “what happens if I am not there to care for my children?”, “How do I know they will have the continuity of supports they need?”, and “How do I find a provider I can trust?”.
Grow Together Supports was born out of the realisation that the provider was already there – and that the team we have built over the past 20 years has the skills, experience and drive to provide the same stability and support to others.

Can you tell me more about the cooking classes?
Our cooking classes focus on teaching essential culinary skills while promoting social interaction and an appetite for trying new things. We also ensure that you take home at least three main meals to eat over the coming days. Whether in one-on-one or group settings, each session is customized to meet the your needs.
What happens if I have someone come to my home to cook with me?
We will work with you to identify the outcomes you are trying to achieve – whether it is trying new recipes, learning new skills, or support to make your old favourites, we develop a plan to achieve your goals. Our staff can either take you shopping for the ingredients, or bring them when they come. But rest assured, when the leave, you will have the meals you need to last for a few days, or a few weeks (in the freezer of course!).
Can I use my NDIS funding?
The NDIS supports participants with meals in two ways:
- By covering the cost of meal preparation for those who have been assessed as being unable to do it themselves, and
- By providing supports to assist those who need help to prepare their meals.
We can work with you an your support coordinator to identify your needs and what you may qualify for.
Can I use my Home Care Package funds?
Yes. Funds from your Home Care Package can be used to cover the meal preparation and delivery cost portion of each meal. You will be required to co-contribute the ingredient portion of the cost. This is why our pricing always has a component that you will need to pay.
What happens if I need to cancel a class or meal delivery?
If you need to cancel or reschedule please let us know at least 48 hours in advance. We aim to be flexible and accommodating, but last-minute cancellations may incur a fee to cover preparation costs.
How do I book?
Classes or meal deliveries can easily be booked by calling, us, sending as an email, or through our website. We recommend that your book your food delivery 36 hours in advance to ensure we have all the ingredients necessary for your class or meals.
